Pregis begins production in new Reno, Nevada manufacturing facility
Pregis invests in new paper cushioned mailer facility to support e-commerce packaging demand in the West
Pregis, a leading global manufacturer of protective packaging, recently started production at its new 298,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Reno, Nevada. The facility is producing the Pregis EverTec™ cushioned mailer, a durable, lightweight, curbside recyclable, paper cushioned shipping solution.
Since acquiring the technology to manufacture the envirotech shipping solution in 2020, Pregis has scaled the production and full-color digital printing of the curbside recyclable product to meet consumer demand, and it continues to add sites to serve strategic geographic markets in this rapidly growing e-commerce packaging market. The Reno plant is the newest facility to add production capacity of EverTec in addition to recently opened facilities in Arlington, Texas; Bethel, Pennsylvania; McDonough, Georgia; and the expansion of the founding Elk Grove Village, Illinois location.
“We strategically planned facilities throughout the country to meet the growing e-commerce demand and quickly deliver EverTec mailers to our customers. This latest facility in Reno demonstrates our commitment to providing sustainable, efficient, and diverse packaging solutions to our customers across the North American market,” said Kevin Baudhuin, president and chief executive officer, Pregis.
Pregis is committed to engineering future sustainable solutions to meet growing consumer demand, and continues to bring a portfolio of products to the marketplace that address environmental concerns, as well as delivering the protective attributes critical for damage-free delivery of products to consumers. The EverTec mailer is one of the company’s many products that support its commitment to offering customers sustainable solutions in keeping with the Pregis purpose to “Protect, Preserve and Inspyre.”
